The artist believes that the digital revolution, happening just in front of our eyes, shouldn't be ignored in painting either, emancipation of form which it offers, will sooner or later completely change the plastic arts.
Alexander Lufer currently focuses on breaking the barrier between conventional traditional art and new technologies. In his works, the artist asserts the primacy of form, its liberation and potential. State of the art technologies make it possible to create a form that was inaccessible to the creators of previous generations, to go beyond prototypes and labels of meaning. The artist is no longer obliged to copy, reflexing and interpreting the reality, now more than ever he is able to create something fundamentally new. Just as the Internet freed up the text, allowing everyone to be the author and publisher, development of technology freed up the form, making it independent from nature, subordinating it to human imagination or artificial intelligence.

Alexandr Lufer´s neo-realism lays in the creation of a new reality of unexpected combinations of familiar and modified or non-existent objects, in an effort to completely fit this alternative reality, in applying a wide range of tools, from 3d modeling to pallete knife. To maintain intimacy with viewers, the artist remains in a customary format and paints still life made with oil on canvas. The artist believes that the digital revolution, happening just in front of our eyes, shouldn't be ignored in painting either, emancipation of form which it offers, will sooner or later completely change the plastic arts.
